Widnes manager Michael Ellison has issued a stark complacency warning to his players as he reaffirmed that their promotion isn’t secured.

The Whites returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Vauxhall Motors on Monday and as Hednesford trailed, Ellison’s side were on the verge of being crowned champions.

But the Pitmen equalised with five minutes of normal time remaining to leave Widnes three points clear and needing a point on the final day.
