'Every game is a final' - Michael Ellison sends blunt Widnes message

Widnes are facing a pivotal period in their season as they look to secure promotion

Michael Ellison says every game is a cup final for Widnes as they embark on the title race.

The Whites are entering a crucial period of the season, and so far have come through it relatively unscathed. Widnes overcame an early red card against Stalybridge Celtic to win before beating Witton Albion in midweek.

Ellison’s side earned wins over two of the in-form teams in the division as well as two clubs vying for a place in the playoffs. Stalybridge slipped out of the top five as a result of the results on Tuesday night, following their defeat to Widnes on Saturday.
