Calum McIntyre explains George Glendon Chester exit as respect claim made
George Glendon has left Chester to sign for Radcliffe.
Calum McIntyre hopes George Glendon will get the respect he deserves after the Chester midfielder left the club.
The 29-year-old has completed a move to Radcliffe on a free transfer after signalling his desire to leave.
Glendon, who is the club captain, found playing time hard to come by in the midfield after Chester found form.
The Seals boss praised the professionalism of the departing midfielder, who made over 150 appearances during his spell at the club.
As a result, he will reunite with Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson at Radcliffe. Last season’s Northern Premier League champions find themselves in a relegation battle as they sit two points off safety, with as many games in hand.
Glendon’s successor for the armband will soon be decided after discussions with the leadership team within the group.
McIntyre bid farewell to Glendon and offered his best wishes as he expressed his devastation to lose the club captain.
“Gutted to see someone of George’s talent and someone I’ve worked with for a couple of years leave the football club,” he told Off The Park.
